Start

Ignore
all my weepy, cautionary advice from #19. Start another
business? Sure, I’d do it again. It may take me
a couple more years to fully recover from the first, but
I can’t imagine a career where I didn’t try
it again. You
see, I’m a capitalist pig. I love business. I
love commerce. I love the concept of property and the
opportunity to procure it. I love the free market, the
way it punitively falls and remunerably rises. I love
the very idea that my time is valuable, and that I may
reap the benefits of my labor. I love the process of
building a business, where the cultivation of an idea
can germinate into thriving commerce. So yes, I’ll
start another business. Until the well of commerce is
dry of opportunity, I’ll drink from her tap and
buy rounds for the house! Utils for the economist and
ducats for the poet! Give me capitalism, straight up
in a glass half full.
